EC-40 foldo

EC40 – Adventures of an Irish EC40
Alan . N Ireland
I purchased this bike in May 2021 and to date it has covered 700 mls.
Virtually all of these miles have been attributed to my wife who really loves it.
I had previously been sceptical about smaller wheeled bikes but in actual fact the EC40 is very stable and has been tested over a variety of surfaces, coming out with “flying colours “.
One of the reasons for choosing this bike is that it has the lowest step through frame that I could find. Yes it’s on the heavy side but with the smaller wheels and low centre of gravity it’s very nimble.
All in all I have been very impressed with the EC40 , it folds easily, has a strong motor and is a very capable machine.

EC40 – I love the freedom it gives me to travel further afield
Hazel – Somerset
I have never been a fan of bikes with smaller wheels. I have always found them to be hard work and uncomfortable. However, I needed a folding bike as I was finding it hard to hook up my full size ebike on the train and it was getting increasingly difficult to reserve a place for it on the train since only 4 spaces are available on a 10 carriage train. When a friend introduced me to this folding ebike I was amazed how comfortable and it was and how powerful the engine. Hills were a breeze.
It had the advantages of a full sized ebike but did not need a reservation and no struggling to lift it up to the hook.
It is also pretty much maintenance free with hub gears and a belt drive. Lovely smooth gear changes and no messy cogs and chains. I am a 70 year old lady, fairly small and of average strength. With the battery in my rucksack I can lift the bike into the train. It is heavy but all ebikes are heavy. I think it is worth it for the benefits of making cycling a real pleasure and I will be able to continue cycling well into my eighties. I love the freedom it gives me to travel further afield and explore areas previously out if reach. I find I can now travel twice as far as I did on my push bike. It has opened up new possibilities and horizons and I love it.

EC40 – It’s a fantastic e-bike
John – Stockport
I have one of these bikes and they are amazing, it’s a fantastic ebike, but just as important it’s also a really good bike to ride without power, so well balanced, I can’t praise it enough, not the cheapest bike in the world but in this case you really do get what you pay for.

EC40 – We are in love with it
Dr S : Staffordshire
We are indeed in love with our bikes and were hugely appreciative of the E going down Cornish lanes! Wished we had them when we did LEJOG twenty years ago.

EC40 – I am delighted
Linda : Bristol
You can see that I am delighted with how the bike copes with quite muddy and rough ground as well as being great for around the city.

Bike arrived unpacked and set up looks great , photo on web site didn’t do it justice
EC-4.5

EC-4.5 Even better, no oily chain or gears
Ursula – Devon
I was very surprised on my birthday to find my husband had bought me an Ebike in my favourite colour ! Having not used my pushbike for a few months , this was my first introduction to an electric bike , and what a surprise .
I had said I was thinking of an eclectic bike some day and I wanted a step through in red , but with a back pedal brake , so I can take the dog on the lead with me . Hence my surprise when this gudereit EC4.5 fulfilled all my wishes . Even better , no oily chain or gears , due to the new blue carbon fibre belt and integrated rear wheel gears .
On the road it goes really well and because you have to pedal , the power is gradual and safe .I found on normal flat roads no power is needed as it rides like my pushbike and the riding position and seat are very comfortable . I can recommend this bike for comfy weekend trips as well as going to the shops.

ET9 – I’ve done over 4600 miles in 18 months which doesn’t seem possible
Joanne – Somerset
I was out on my bike yesterday cycling round the lanes on my own (which I don’t like doing but …) when a small blue van had to stop to let me squeeze past him. Nice young man driving, stopped and admired my bike, was most impressed with belt drive, and general immaculate condition of the bike. He took photos and asked where I got it etc. He obviously knows about bikes and we chatted – he said he was very interested in perhaps getting one for his mum (who happens to be my age apparently

ET-9

ET-9 Gudereit is the superior bike in terms of build quality and design – especially with the Gates drive.
Simon – Stockport
I purchased a Gudereit EC9 with the Gates belt drive and Shimano Alfine 8 speed hub gear and am very pleased with it. The bike is strong, comfortable and very stable with good brakes and decent lighting and the Bosch Active Line plus motor gives excellent, well-modulated power. The service from Gudereit UK was friendly and efficient so the whole experience has been very pleasant.
The Gates belt drive with hub gear means there is no derailleur to get damaged or need adjustment and no oily chain to maintain or get smeared by – after a short time using it I realized it was simply a no-brainer!
My brother has a similarly priced Raleigh with the same Bosch motor and battery and we both came the conclusion that the Gudereit is the superior bike in terms of build quality and design – especially with the Gates drive.

ET-10

ET-10 The ideal multi-use bike
Arthur-Somerset
This 2021 model of the ET-10 evo looks like the ideal Multi-use Ebike, for urban club rides, shopping and getting to and from work. It’s got the five most important Ebike components, Bosch mid mounted Performance Motor and 500 Wh battery, Shimano self-adjusting hydraulic brakes, Shimano stay clean internal hub drive gears and Gates Carbon fibre (no oil) transmission belt system. These 5 critically important components come with Worldwide servicing and warranty agreements.
An Ebike designed and assembled in Germany by a family owned company with a good heritage and pedigree. Congratulations Gudereit-uk .

ET-10 Evo I would highly recommend an e-bike from this manufacturer.
Dave – Hampshire
Having had to return my first e-bike because of quality issues, I did some research and decided to buy a Gudereit ET10. I was impressed by the fact they are a long established family owned business with an emphasis on good design and quality.
Having had the bike a couple of weeks, I must say my experience with the bike exceeds all my expectations. The bike uses top end components and the Shimano Alfine 11 speed Hub Gears are superb and change gear so smoothly. The powder coated frame in the Matt dark Blue looks very attractive and durable . I expect it will resist stone chips very well.
My only worry is that someone will want to steal it, so the first thing I invested in was a secure lock with security rating of 15.
I would highly recommend an e-bike from this manufacturer.
ET-11

ET-11 Rohloff. We were impressed with the service from Guderet-UK
Roger : Leicestershire
We have always done a lot of touring but the time had arrived that if we wished to continue then some help with the steeper hills was required. Visits to several E bike specialists were made and we did a lot of online research before deciding that we wanted bikes with Bosch motors, a Rohloff hub and a Gates Belt drive. The Gudereit ET-11 seemed to fit the bill perfectly. We were apprehensive about buying sight unseen but with Duncan’s help the whole process went smoothly, the bikes arrived on time, direct from the factory just requiring a minimum of assembly.
The bikes have now done nearly a thousand miles on a wide range of surfaces from bridleways, potholed back roads and smooth tarmac, they have performed faultlessly. The build quality is excellent, the Bosch performance line motor has an impressive power output which with the 500Wh battery gives a good range. Having a Rohloff on our tandem we are used to the benefits of the hub gear and we do like the electronic shifting. The Gates Belt drive is a new experience it runs very quietly, is clean (there’s no oil or grease flying about) and will hopefully have a long service life. The powder coat paint finish is attractive and looks to be very durable
Overall we are well pleased with the service we received from Duncan at Gudereit UK, with the quality and performance of the ET-11 and would recommend it to others.

ET-11. The ET 11 is a fantastic E bike with the quality clear to see
Simon – Swansea
I spent a considerable amount of time scouring the internet for the right E bike for my needs. I was looking for a Rohloff hub geared bike as I have that on two of my other bikes and did not want to change. It is such a hassle-free gear system. Having found Gudereit UK I ended up speaking with Duncan who quickly explained the merits of Gudereit bikes, a German brand I had not heard of despite having lived there for 10 years and being married to a German myself. It is fair to say I am big fan of German engineering and the Gudereit ET 11 is no exception to that traditional German quality.
I picked the bike up direct from Duncan and what a machine it is. Whilst with Duncan I had a go on some of the other Gudereit E Bikes he had there, and the folding bike was amazing. It would be ideal for someone who needs that type of bike, or even just as an everyday bike. The next day I cycled to work on the ET 11 and the 30 mile round trip was an absolute pleasure, especially what would normally be the chore of the last 3 miles uphill to my home. All of the parts work seamlessly together, with the electronic Rohloff gear shifting and Gates Carbon Belt Drive being a new experience that in typical German fashion just works as it should. The different levels of Bosch motor support modes mean you can choose the amount of battery powered support you want, so you can still get in some fitness training if you want to.
The ET 11 is a fantastic E bike with the quality clear to see and to experience as you ride it. You certainly get what you pay for and I will be putting it to good use in the years ahead.
I thoroughly recommend Duncan and Gudereit bikes to you.

ET-11. I recommend Gudereit and Duncan to you
I’ve done 600 miles up hill and down dale on the ET11 now. It’s handled everything – roads, farm tracks and muddy paths. After a couple of “exciting” moments I learned to go extra gently on gravel tracks. You get a lot of extra torque from that motor.
Cycling’s no less fun on an Ebike, it just adds an extra dimension to your rides. You can let the motor take the strain and enjoy the view or drop the power down, push harder and get the same workout you would without the motor, you just go further.
Wind it up to turbo and go “Wheee” up those 1 in 3s, great fun.

ET-11. The Gudereit ET-11 has an attractive frame geometry
Nigel – Norwich
I was looking for an all purpose bike that could facilitate touring as well as trips loaded with heavy shopping panniers. The Gudereit ET-11 has an attractive frame geometry with a decent rear rack and the dependable combination of the Rohloff speed hub coupled to carbon fibre belt – which is rare for most ebikes in the UK. After making adjustments to set up the handlebars, saddle and automatic gear drop I was rewarded by a smooth and comfortable cruise along Sustrans Route 1 and across a field to my allotment. I like the wide range of possible adjustment to the front bars in order to find a comfortable rider position which also gives a greater sense of stability on the move. The 2021 light grey frame colour is very attractive and the personal and helpful service from Duncan at Gudereit UK gave confidence in buying the bike untested beforehand.
